I need to consider how the Lyrics custom post type will function. Right now, it only contains a few entries while I work out the required fields and how it will link to chapters. I believe I already have a field for this on chapters, which can be queried for linkage, but I need to think more broadly about how lyrics will be used across the site. For example, artist pages may feature some or all of their lyrics—possibly using a mix of graphical and text-based displays. I’ll likely need a hybrid approach. Additionally, because lyrics often explore different topics and themes, there should be a way to categorize them and optionally link them to concepts. Realizing this again highlights how complex the system can become. Like many other parts of the site, it will probably only start to make full sense as it develops further. For now, I recognize that I haven’t given it enough focused thought yet.
