Plan Content Migration Strategy and Evolve Narrative Thread Structure

Last updated on August 18, 2025

Probably the biggest task ahead of me is content-related. I currently have 44 posts in draft status—29 narrative threads in progress and 15 drafts containing content awaiting integration. One major benefit of the new CPT system is that I can begin migrating this material even before the threads are complete, allowing individual elements to be published and interlinked. The only complication is that some of the content is already detailed enough to be chapters. For example, the “Rap Lens” interpretation of Feel It Still by Portugal. The Man could likely become four different threads based on how much content is associated with it. That said, I’m trying to avoid creative work until the overall structure is in place—or at least until 80% of the chapters are converted. The remaining 20% may take years to finalize.

Still, I believe this CPT system may bridge the gap between full narrative threads and smaller narrative fragments. Some chapters are long enough to split, and I already have one that exists in three parts. This opens up the possibility of publishing shorter, coherent chapters that don’t have to follow a traditional format. More importantly, I’ve realized that threads don’t have to be anchored to songs—they can also be centered around books, authors, concepts, or quotes. This shifts the structure from a music-only lens to a more interdisciplinary model.

Right now, each thread features an artist and is ordered to create a logical, interconnected progression—but I think I can extend this system to allow other CPTs (e.g., featured books, themes, or quotes) as entry points. The only minor challenge would be visual scalability—if thread count grows too much, I may need to rethink navigation, especially if pagination becomes necessary. Still, I think the new system will eventually guide these decisions naturally.
